Hendo Hover Board: This is real

hover board was a dream of every kid after watching the popular sci-fi movie "back to the future part-2" in which Marty Mcfly zipped around on the hover board but a husband wife couple has made this dream come true by presenting the world's first REAL hover board.

the Greag and Jill Henderson are the master minds behind the creation of the hendo hover board. The technolog which is found on the hendo board is similar to the technology found in the maglev trains with opposing magnetic forces between the board and the surface providing the hovering capabilities.   the Hendo Hover uses proprietary Magnetic Field Architecture (MFA) in four "hover engines" mounted under the board to enable it to float an inch off the ground with a rider on board.



while the propulsion to the board will be given by the rider in the usual skate boarding manner. As the board is using magnetism for hovering capabilities so the riding is restricted to a non ferrous surfaces such as copper or aluminum. Another major shortcoming is that the battery life of this hover board is very less, its just 10 minutes on 2 hours of full charge. For demonstrating this technology husband and wife has recently launched a kickstater campaign in which they are offering real hendo hover board to the pledgers for the cost of 10,000 US dollars which are already snapped up but along with that they offering Whitebox Developer Kit designed to get the technology into the hands of the people, who after taking apart and playing with the engines, may find other uses or applications for it.

The kit packs scaled-down versions of the four hover engines found on the board into a white box that can be can be steered left, right, forward and back, and rotated around its own axis via an iOS or Android mobile device. The box comes with a hover surface and is powered by a set of rechargeable LiPo batteries that give 12 to 15 minutes of hover time.
